Scott & Christie and Associates is a full service, Southwestern Pennsylvania based ophthalmology practice. Dr. William C. Christie gives back to the community by providing free eye care and eyewear to homeless, underinsured and working poor families in Southwestern PA and internationally through his non-profit corporation, Mission Vision. As Executive Director of Mission Vision, Mrs. Henault oversees all local community outreach operations, including the coordination of volunteer resources. Last year alone, 80 different professionals and laypersons served on the Mission Vision volunteer team.
In addition to her Mission Vision responsibilities, Mrs. Henault also serves as Refractive Coordinator for the lasik division, and is in charge of professional and community relations for the ophthalmology practice. This entails serving as a liason to referring medical practitioners, as well as representing the company at various community functions, including health fairs, conferences and Chamber of Commerce events.
Mrs. Henault, an accomplished professional speaker, conducts training and education programs and practice consulting for eye care professionals and industry associations through her private company, Grace Consults, LLC.
Above all, Susan Henault attributes her personal and professional success to her faith in God, hard work and a passion for helping people. She has held positions in nearly every aspect of eye care, including clinical and retail management, field sales, sales management and professional speaking. At one time, Mrs. Henault thought the highlight of her career was being invited to speak at a National Conference for the eye care industry; however, she now counts her service to homeless neighbors in the community, as her greatest professional blessing.
Mrs. Henault considers her most precious personal blessings to be a close relationship with God, the fact that she lives with her two very best friends - her husband Steve and her mother Rose, and that after 15 wonderful years of marriage, she and her husband are expecting their first child, due in August of 2010.
